Public comment

We want to hear from you.

The public will have the opportunity to provide in-person comments at all committee meetings and the full Board meeting. Those who wish to provide in-person public comments can register at 2 Broadway in the 30 minutes prior to each Committee meeting, and between 9:25 and 9:55am on Wednesday, September 15 for the full Board meeting.

Because of the ongoing public health crisis, we are providing additional opportunity for virtual pre-recorded public comments for the September MTA Board and committee meetings. In addition to in-person public comments, up to 30 minutes of virtual comments will be played at the start each meeting. Virtual comments beyond the 30 minutes will be distributed to Board members in advance of the meeting.

Those who wish to provide virtual comments at the committee meetings can register and submit comments via video conference on Friday, September 10. Those who wish to provide virtual comments at the full Board can register and submit comments via video conference on Tuesday, September 14.

To register, check back here between 11 a.m. and 12 p.m. on Friday, September 10 for committee meetings and between 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. Tuesday, September 14 for the full board. We’ll have an online form where you can register to speak.

In keeping with MTA rules, each speaker will have two minutes. Participants are required to adhere to the MTA’s Code of Conduct, which you may read below.

We are still observing some COVID-19 safety protocols. Seating capacity will be limited to 52 people to allow for 3 feet of social distancing, with an overflow room that can hold up to an additional 25 members of the public. Masks are required to be worn by all individuals within 2 Broadway.
