Attending an MTA Board meeting

The MTA Board meets approximately the third week of each month, with the exception of August, when no board meeting is usually held. Exact dates are posted on this page about 30 days before each meeting. Please note that schedules are subject to change.

In-person meetings are held at MTA Board Room, 2 Broadway, 20th Floor. Meeting attendees are required to go through a security screening upon entering the building. Meetings may begin up to 30 minutes before scheduled start time. Attendees are encouraged to arrive early.

During the coronavirus pandemic, our meetings are livestreamed. You can watch the meeting live, and you’ll be able to prerecord a comment that will be delivered to the MTA Board.

How to speak during a meeting

In person

Registration opens 15 minutes before the scheduled start of committee meetings and 30 minutes before the start of each board meeting. Registration must be done in person. Statements must be about agenda items only. There is a two-minute speaking limit. Speaking time may not be transferred.

Remotely

During the coronavirus pandemic, you can prerecord a comment that will be delivered to the MTA Board. You must register beforehand.

The schedule page for the meeting will include details about when to register to leave a comment. You can register by phone or through an online form.

After you’ve registered, you’ll get details about how and when to record your comment. We play 30 minutes of comments at the beginning of meetings. All comments are delivered to the MTA Board.
