About our October meeting
The MTA is holding in-person meetings of the MTA Board and the MTA Board’s committees, held separately over two days.
MTA Board committee chairs will convene six meetings on Monday, October 18. On Wednesday, October 20, a meeting of the full MTA Board will begin at 10 a.m.
The following committees will meet in October:
- Long Island Rail Road
- Metro-North Railroad
- New York City Transit
- Bridges and Tunnels
- Finance
- Capital Program Oversight
- Audit

Public comment
We want to hear from you.
For the first time, the public will have the opportunity to provide in-person or virtual comments at the full Board meeting. Up to 30 members of the public may provide comment at each meeting. Should the maximum number of speakers be reached, additional speakers will have the opportunity to provide video comments that will be provided to Board Members and made available on the meeting webpage.
Those who wish to provide in-person public comments can register at 2 Broadway in the 20 minutes prior to each scheduled Committee meeting time, and between 9:25 and 9:55 a.m. on Wednesday, October 20th, for the full Board meeting.
Those who wish to provide virtual comments at the full Board must register online. To register to speak remotely at the full board meeting, check back here between 9:25 a.m. and 9:55 a.m. on Wednesday, October 20. We’ll have an online form where you can register to speak.
In keeping with MTA rules, each speaker will have two minutes. Participants are required to adhere to the MTA’s Code of Conduct, which you may read below.
We are still observing some COVID-19 safety protocols. Seating capacity will be limited to 52 people to allow for three feet of social distancing, with an overflow room that can hold up to an additional 25 members of the public. Masks are required to be worn by all individuals at 2 Broadway. The public is encouraged to watch the meeting online here via livestream.
