How to submit comments at MTA board and committee meetings

Updated Nov 14, 2024

We want to hear from you!

The MTA welcomes public comments at our board and committee meetings from a range of New Yorkers.

Board meetings

Those who wish to speak at the board meeting need to register, either online or in person at 2 Broadway. The registration window opens 35 minutes before the beginning of the board meeting and closes 5 minutes before it begins

Remote speakers have the opportunity to make their comments live, during the meeting, but must register online during the meeting registration period. Check back here on the meeting date to access the online registration form. Once you have registered to provide live remote comments you will receive an e-mail with instructions on how to access the meeting’s remote public comment virtual session.

The board meeting includes up to 60 minutes of in-person and remote comments, combined. Registered speakers beyond that time frame are invited to separately record their comments. All comments are delivered to the MTA Board and posted online. Statements must be about agenda items only.

There is a two-minute speaking limit and speaking time may not be transferred.

Public speakers can make their comments in person at any committee meeting. To accommodate those who cannot travel to 2 Broadway, all committee meetings will accommodate both in person and remote live public comments. Once you have registered to provide live remote comments you will receive an email with instructions on how to access the meeting’s remote public comment virtual session.
