The proposed B54 Local runs westbound to Downtown Brooklyn and eastbound to Ridgewood.
The proposed length of the B54 Local route is 4.3 miles.
In the existing route, the average stop spacing is 724 feet. Under the proposed route, that would increase to 911 feet.
The proposed route would connect to the B13, B15, B25, B26, B27, B38, B41, B41 XT, B43, B44, B45, B46, B47, B48, B52, B53, B57, B61, B62, B65, B66, B67, B69, Q55, Q58, and Q98.
It would also connect to the trains.

As part of the Brooklyn Bus Network Redesign, the proposed B54 would maintain its existing routing. Bus service changes in Brooklyn are still being reviewed and will be finalized as part of the Brooklyn Bus Network Redesign Proposed Final Plan.
To match stop spacing on Local routes, B54 stops would be spaced slightly farther apart than existing to speed up buses and improve reliability.
No frequency or service span changes are being proposed at this time.
