About the venue
Yankee Stadium is located at East 161st Street and River Avenue in the South Bronx. It's the home of the New York Yankees and New York City Football Club (NYCFC). It also hosts special events, such as other sports matches and concerts.
You can get to Yankee Stadium via the New York City subway and bus, and on Metro-North Railroad. The Yankee Stadium website has more information about the venue, including driving directions.
Getting there
Option 1: Take the subway.
The and trains stop at 161 St-Yankee Stadium. Follow the signs within the station to Yankee Stadium.

Option 2: Take Metro-North Railroad or the Long Island Rail Road.
The Yankees-E 153rd Street station is on Metro-North's Hudson Line. It's a 15-minute ride from Grand Central Terminal. There is extra service between Grand Central, Harlem-125th Street, and Yankee Stadium for events. The easiest way to get schedules and see your exact fare is to use the MTA TrainTime app.
For weekday evening and weekend Yankees games, we also run special direct Yankee Clipper trains on the Harlem and New Haven Lines to Yankees-E 153rd Street. These special trains will not run for NYCFC games or 1 p.m. weekday Yankees games. For events without Yankee Clipper service, change at Harlem-125th Street for a Hudson Line train to Yankees-E. 153rd Street.
Take your ticket with you when you exit the train. Agents will be in the station to check tickets.
For LIRR service, take a train to Grand Central, then ride Metro-North to Yankees-E 153rd Street or the to 161 St-Yankee Stadium. Use the MTA TrainTime app to buy a single ticket to get from your LIRR station to Grand Central or Yankees-E 153rd Street.

Option 3: Take the bus.

- During baseball season, Metro-North occasionally offers extra service. This can include extra trains and shuttle bus service from the stadium to Grand Central Terminal and Harlem-125th Street.
- Traveling within New York City? Get a CityTicket. This ticket costs $5 during off-peak hours, including weekends, and $7 during peak hours and can be used for travel between LIRR or Metro-North stations within New York City.
