Route
The Bx8 routing will not change.
Note: In the Draft Plan, we proposed shortening the Bx8 and the Bx24 in an attempt to streamline service to Throgs Neck. This earlier proposal will not be implemented.
Key connections include: Bx12, Bx12 Select Bus Service, Bx26, Bx28, Bx30, and Bx40.
Stops
Fourteen percent (15 of 107) of the Bx8 stops will be removed, improving the average distance between stops from 872 feet to 1,017 feet. By removing these stops, we’ll improve reliability along the route.
