We're excited to announce that the beta version of the new MTA app is now available for testing.
The new MTA app will offer an agency-wide experience designed to help our riders easily find travel information and navigate the transit system. Eventually, this will replace MYmta as our core rider-facing app.
But first, we need your help! The beta phase is a critical step that lets us share work in progress. Beta users can test out the app and share feedback on what we've done so far.
By downloading the app and submitting your feedback, you will improve the experience for millions of our riders and help us shape what the final version of the app looks like.
Sign up to become a beta tester
The first step to becoming a beta tester is to sign up via our online form.
iPhone
Once you've signed up, you'll get an email with instructions. That email won't go out right away -- we're sending batched invites every day around 3 pm.
Android
Once you've signed up, you'll be added to an internal testers group within the next business day. Unlike iPhone, there is no automatic email. Check the Google Play Store here to see if you have access.
If you have more questions or need detailed instructions, visit our hub for information about the app.
Submit feedback
The best way to submit feedback is via our online feedback form.
There are also ways to submit feedback directly via your Android or iPhone device. You can read instructions how to submit feedback via your phone here.
All feedback will be logged and reviewed, but we might not be able to respond to everyone.
Preview the roadmap
The new MTA app is still a work in progress. It has many new and improved features, but there are many other things we want to accomplish. We've made our roadmap for the app public so that you can see how we have organized what we want to do in the future. Your feedback will directly inform how we prioritize items on the roadmap.
Keep your eyes peeled for additional updates as the beta testing phase progresses. Thanks for your feedback, and thanks as always for riding with us.
