Big things are happening throughout our system: Recently, Long Island Rail Road completed work on the third track between Floral Park and Hicksville, which will make service along our Main Line corridor faster and more reliable. We also recently started running two-way service to UBS Arena on event days — if you're seeing the Smashing Pumpkins or the Islanders this weekend, consider taking the train to the Elmont-UBS Arena station. (And use our TrainTime app to plan your trip!)
We've also got an important heads up for our Lexington Av/53 St riders: We're replacing the escalators at the station's Third Avenue entrance with new, more modern equipment. That means access to that entrance will be limited for several months while we complete the project. Expect big crowds, and consider using nearby stations instead. More on that here.
