Labor Day weekend may mark the unofficial end of summer, but don't be sad—there are plenty of happenings to help you have an excellent long weekend. Chief among those is the West Indian-American Day Carnival, which happens in Brooklyn on Monday with other festivities ongoing throughout the weekend. If you're a Brooklyn bus rider, heads up that there will be service diversions due to the parade—check our Planned Work tool for changes to your route.
You could also attend the NYC Unicycle Festival, get in a beach trip, or head to the US Open—but whatever you do, we hope you take public transit to get there.
