Holidays: The ferry will not operate on Thanksgiving Day (11/23), Christmas Day (12/25), New Year’s Day (1/1/2024), President’s Day (2/19/2024). A special schedule will operate on Day After Thanksgiving Day (11/24), Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day (1/15/2024).

From the West:
Take Exit 13 on the Palisades Parkway (Rt. 202 East) to Gurnee Ave. Continue straight (becomes Conklin Ave.) to W. Broad St. Left on W. Broad St. to Maple Ave. Right on Maple Ave. (Maple Ave. becomes Riverside Ave.) Continue to Dr. Girling Drive. Left on Dr. Girling Drive to parking lot/ferry entrance.
From the South:

MTA Metro-North Railroad’s Guaranteed Ride Home Program
MTA Metro-North monthly UniTicket customers who ride the Haverstraw-Ossining Ferry to Ossining Station and commute to Grand Central Terminal or Harlem-125th Street can get up to two free taxi rides per month from Tarrytown Station to their car or home during the few select times when the Haverstraw-Ossining Ferry is not scheduled to meet a train. For more information, including the name and phone number of the current taxi provider, please call 511.
Here’s how the program works:
- Present your valid UniTicket at any ticket window in Grand Central Terminal or, 6:40 AM – 9:30 PM, at Harlem‑125th Street Station.
- The ticket agent will stamp the UniTicket and give you a validated voucher. (Laminated UniTickets will not be accepted.)
- Take one of these trains from Grand Central Terminal to Tarrytown Station

- When you arrive at Tarrytown Station go to the taxi stand and present your voucher to the driver when you enter the taxi. (The voucher is good only for the day of the requested ride.)
It’s that simple! You’ll be taken to your car, home or to any location in Rockland, Orange or Bergen counties within 30 miles of Tarrytown Station.
Guaranteed Ride Home Program Hours
Monday – Friday (excluding holidays) meeting trains that leave Grand Central Terminal between 9:00 am and 3:30 pm; and between 9:00 pm and 1:50 am.
Not valid on 2:43 pm and 3:21 pm trains when extra ferry operates.
PLEASE NOTE:
The program cannot be used when there is a delay in bus or train service due to breakdown or other problems.

In the unlikely event that the ferry cannot operate, customers are advised to:

- Listen for train announcements

If the emergency is in the morning,
- Use Haverstraw Dock as you normally would. Express buses will take you from there directly to Tarrytown Station to connect to the train.
If the emergency is in the evening,
- Use Tarrytown Station where buses or other substitute transportation will be provided at the station’s bus area.
