Route

The Bx24 routing will change with the elimination of a short, meandering segment within Country Club along Ohm Avenue, Griswold Drive, and Spencer Drive. While some Bx24 riders will experience minimal disruptions, the majority will benefit from faster bus speeds and more reliable service, due to the reduction in turns.

Note: The Draft Plan proposal to shorten the Bx8 and replace its service to Throgs Neck with the Bx24 will not be implemented. Instead, the Bx8 will maintain its existing routing and the Bx24 routing will experience a minor change within Country Club only.

Key connecting routes include: Bx8, Bx12, Bx12 Select Bus Service, Bx40, Bx42, and Q50 Limited.

Stops

Ten percent (5 of 49) of the Bx24 stops will be removed, improving the average distance between stops from 943 feet to 1,055 feet. By removing these stops, we’ll improve reliability along the route.
