Some entrances and exits at 42 St-Bryant Park , 5 Av , 7 Av , and 59 St-Columbus Circle may also be temporarily closed. On Sunday, New Year's Eve, the subway is running on a regular Sunday schedule. On Monday, New Year's Day, the subway will also run on a Sunday schedule.
For Long Island Rail Road and Metro-North riders visiting the city to celebrate, we're operating extra trains into the city on New Year's Eve, and leaving the city after midnight. Alcohol is not allowed on LIRR and Metro-North trains, platforms, and stations from noon on NYE to noon on New Year's Day.
On Monday, January 1, LIRR will operate on a weekend schedule. Metro-North will operate on a special reduced schedule. Use the TrainTime app or visit our schedules page to see all options for your trip.
