This weekend, subway lines are running on a regular Sunday schedule on Sunday, December 24. On Monday, December 25, the subway is also running on a Sunday schedule for Christmas Day.
For Long Island Rail Road and Metro-North riders, trains will operate on a weekend schedule on Sunday. On Monday, December 25, LIRR will operate on a weekend schedule. And finally, one important thing to note for next week: Beginning Tuesday, December 26, 42 St Shuttle through 6 a.m. Saturday, December 30. For service between Times Sq-42 St and Grand Central-42 St, take the trains won't run 24/7 train or the M42 bus. During this closure, equipment will be installed to enable future cellular connectivity in the tunnel between stations. Learn more.

Major subway service changes
trains, Bronx
trains are running every 16 minutes between Wakefield-241 St and E 180 St from 9 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Saturday and 12:15 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Sunday. This is because of track replacement.
- Every other uptown train will end at E 180 St. Transfer at E 180 St to continue your trip.
trains, Bronx
trains are running every 16 minutes between Woodlawn and 149 St-Grand Concourse from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday. This is because of track replacement.
- Every other uptown train will end at 149 St-Grand Concourse, bypassing 138 St-Grand Concourse. Transfer at 149 St-Grand Concourse to continue your trip.
- For service to/from 138 St-Grand Concourse, take a Woodlawn-bound train, or the train.
Woodlawn-bound
trains are running on the express track from 167 St to Mosholu Pkwy from 3:45 a.m. Saturday to 10 p.m. Sunday because of track replacement.- For service to/from bypassed stations, take a Manhattan-bound train, or use nearby stations on the Grand Concourse. Transfer between and trains at 161 St-Yankee Stadium.
trains, Manhattan and Brooklyn
trains aren't stopping at Coney Island-Stillwell Av from 5:45 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday because of track maintenance.
- Free shuttle buses are running between 86 St and Coney Island-Stillwell Av.
- For direct service to/from Coney Island-Stillwell Av, take trains.
- trains are running between Astoria-Ditmars Blvd and 86 St.
Brooklyn-bound
trains and overnight local trains are running on the line from Canal St to Atlantic Av-Barclays Ctr, and then on the express track to 59 St. Brooklyn-bound trains are running on the line from Canal St to DeKalb Av. This is because of track replacement.- changes are in effect from 6 a.m. to 11:45 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
- changes are in effect overnight on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
- changes are in effect 11:15 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday.
- Bay Ridge-bound trains are skipping DeKalb Av. Take the or a Manhattan-bound train instead.
- For service to/from City Hall, Cortlandt St, Rector St, Whitehall St, and Court St, take the .
- Reminder: At Canal St, rerouted trains stop at the platform, and rerouted trains stop at the platform.
Overnight Friday, Saturday, and Sunday,
trains aren't running between Whitehall St and 59 St (Brooklyn) because of equipment installation.- trains are running between Bay Ridge-95 St and 59 St in Brooklyn.
