Happy Friday! It's Open House New York Weekend, when sites across the five boroughs open their doors to the public. We hope you have plans to get out and explore something new this weekend. No matter where your adventures take you, public transit can take you there.
Heading out of town instead? If your destination is the Oyster Fest in Oyster Bay, the LIRR has extra service for you Saturday and Sunday. Extra eastbound trains will depart Jamaica at 9:30 a.m., 11:30 a.m., and 1:30 p.m. and extra westbound trains will depart Oyster Bay at 11:59 a.m., 1:59 p.m., 3:59 p.m., and 5:59 p.m.
And if you're headed up the Hudson Valley, Metro-North is adding more leaf peeper trains. The added outbound trains will depart Grand Central 8:16 a.m. and 11:39 a.m., stopping at Harlem-125th Street, Peekskill, and all stops to Beacon. The added inbound trains will depart Beacon at 2:45 p.m. and 6:45 p.m., making all stops to Peekskill and then express to Harlem-125th Street and Grand Central.

Major subway service changes
trains, the Bronx
From 3:30 a.m. Saturday to 10 p.m. Sunday, trains aren't running between Wakefield-241 St and E 180 St in either direction and are replacing trains between Eastchester-Dyre Av and 149 St-Grand Concourse in both directions. This is because of structural maintenance.
- For service between Wakefield-241 St and E 180 St, take free shuttle buses, which are making all stops.
- As an alternative, consider taking the Bx39, which makes stops along White Plains Rd during the day and evening.
- For service between Eastchester-Dyre Av and 149 St-Grand Concourse, take the .
- trains are running between Flatbush Av-Brooklyn College and E 180 St, and on the to/from Eastchester-Dyre Av.
- trains are running between 149 St-Grand Concourse and Bowling Green, every 12 minutes during the day and evening.
- 149 St-bound trains aren't stopping at 138 St-Grand Concourse. For service to/from this station, take a Manhattan-bound .
trains, Brooklyn
trains aren't running in Brooklyn from 11:30 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday because of station improvement work.
- For service between Borough Hall and Franklin Av-Medgar Evers College, take trains.
- For service between Franklin Av-Medgar Evers College and New Lots Av, take the , which is running to/from New Lots Av all weekend, including overnight.
- Transfer between and trains at Fulton St.
- trains are running between Woodlawn and Bowling Green.
trains, Queens
trains aren't stopping at Flushing-Main St in either direction from 12:15 a.m. Saturday to 5 a.m. Monday because of track replacement.
- For service to/from Flushing-Main St, take free shuttle buses, which are running between Mets-Willets Point and Flushing-Main St.
- trains are running between 34 St-Hudson Yards and Mets-Willets Point, every 8 minutes during the day and evening.
trains, Queens
From 9:30 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday, trains aren't running between Broad Channel and Far Rockaway-Mott Av and are running to Rockaway Park-Beach 116 St. Rockaway Park Shuttle trains aren't running. This is because of track maintenance.
- For service between Broad Channel and Far Rockaway-Mott Av, take free shuttle buses, which are running between Far Rockaway-Mott Av and Beach 67 St and to/from Beach 90 St.
- Transfer between shuttle buses and trains at Beach 90 St.
- trains are running between Inwood-207 St and Ozone Park-Lefferts Blvd/Rockaway Park-Beach 116 St.
trains, Brooklyn and Manhattan
Euclid Av-bound trains are running on the from 59 St-Columbus Circle to 34 St-Herald Sq and on the to Jay St-MetroTech all day Saturday and Sunday. This is because of station maintenance.
- For service to/from 50 St, 23 St, and Spring St, take the .
- For service to/from 42 St-Port Authority Bus Terminal, 34 St-Penn Station, 14 St, W 4 St-Washington Sq, and Canal St, take trains.

From 9:30 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday, trains aren't running between Hoyt-Schermerhorn and Church Av in either direction and Coney Island-bound trains are making express stops from Jay St-MetroTech to Kings Hwy. This is because of signal modernization work.
- For local service to stations between Bergen St and Church Av and stations between Church Av and Kings Hwy, take a Manhattan-bound .
- To connect between and trains, take trains between Hoyt-Schermerhorn and Jay St-MetroTech.
- trains are running in two sections:
- Between Court Sq and and Bedford-Nostrand Avs.
- Between Bedford-Nostrand Avs and Hoyt-Schermerhorn, every 20 minutes.
- Transfer at Bedford-Nostrand Avs to continue your trip.

From 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday, trains aren't running between Hewes St and Broad St in either direction and trains aren't running between Myrtle Av and Delancey St-Essex St. This is because of track replacement.
- For service between Myrtle Av and Hewes St, take the .
- For service between Hewes St and Delancey St-Essex St, take free shuttle buses, which are running between these stations and stopping at Marcy Av.
- When exiting the subway at Hewes St or Delancey St-Essex St, get a GO Ticket from a station agent to re-enter.
- For service between Brooklyn and Manhattan, take trains.
- For service to Lower Manhattan, take trains.
- trains are running between Jamaica Center-Parsons/Archer and Hewes St.
- trains are running between Middle Village-Metropolitan Av and Myrtle Av.

From 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday:
- 96 St-bound trains are running on the from DeKalb Av to 47-50 Sts-Rockefeller Ctr and on the to Lexington Av/63 St.
- Uptown trains are making express stops from Canal St to 34 St-Herald Sq.
This is because of track replacement.
- For service to/from bypassed express stations, take trains.
- For service to/from bypassed local stations, take a downtown train.

Downtown and local trains aren't stopping at 68 St-Hunter College from 9:45 p.m. Friday to 8 p.m. Sunday because of communications improvement work.
- For service to/from this station, take an uptown local train. Or, consider nearby 59 St or 77 St stations or M101, M102, or M103 buses making stops along Lexington Av.
trains, the Bronx
Pelham Bay Park-bound trains aren't stopping from Hunts Point Av to Parkchester from 3:45 a.m. Saturday to 5 a.m. Monday because of track replacement.
- For service to/from bypassed stations, take a Manhattan-bound train.

Euclid Av-bound and Queens-bound local trains aren't stopping at Ralph Av and Rockaway Av from 9:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday because of drainage improvement work.
- For service to/from these stations, take a Manhattan-bound local train.

Manhattan-bound trains aren't stopping at Jefferson St from 11:45 p.m. Friday to 12 noon Saturday because of station improvement work.
- For service to/from this station, take a Canarsie-bound train. Or, consider nearby DeKalb Av or Morgan Av stations.
Canarsie-bound trains aren't stopping at Jefferson St at 11:45 p.m. Saturday to 12 noon Sunday because of station improvement work.

Long Island Rail Road service changes
City Terminal Zone
Westbound trains aren't stopping at Kew Gardens and Forest Hills and westbound trains from Jamaica aren't stopping at Woodside during evening, overnight, and morning hours because of signal testing.
- This service change is in effect:
- From no earlier than 10 p.m. Friday to no later than 8 a.m. Saturday.
- From no earlier than 8 p.m. Saturday to no later than 8 a.m. Sunday. This service change will not begin until all concert attendees have left Forest Hills Station.
- From no earlier than 8 p.m. Sunday to no later than 5 a.m. Monday.
- Westbound trains are running nonstop from Jamaica to Manhattan. Port Washington Branch trains are continuing to stop at Woodside in both directions.
- For service to/from bypassed stations, present your LIRR ticket to a subway station agent to enter the subway at no additional cost at:
- Sutphin Blvd-Archer Av-JFK Airport .
- Kew Gardens-Union Tpke .
- Forest Hills-71 Av .
- Woodside-61 St .
Port Washington Branch
Trains aren't running between Port Washington and Bayside in either direction from 12:45 a.m. Saturday to 1 a.m. Monday because of track maintenance.
- For service to/from stations between Port Washington and Bayside, take free shuttle buses, which are running along two routes:
- From Port Washington to Bayside, stopping only at Manhasset.
- From Great Neck to Bayside, making local stops.
- Buses aren't stopping at Plandome because of low bridges in the area. Use the bus stop at nearby Manhasset instead.
- Local travel between Port Washington and Manhasset and local stops between Douglaston and Bayside isn't possible.
