It's the first weekend of July, and we're getting into the full swing of summer with added weekend service on the , , and lines!
Starting this weekend, and every weekend going forward, average wait times for trains will be reduced by up to 4 minutes, with trains arriving every 8 minutes, and trains arriving every 8-10 minutes (instead of every 10-12 minutes as before). That means less time traveling and more time soaking up the sun at your destination! ☀️
Speaking of soaking up the sun, we've got an important note for riders. Because of urgent track repairs, trains aren't running between Broad Channel and Far Rockaway all weekend, and are replaced by free shuttle buses. The silver lining is that trains will provide direct service to/from Rockaway Park-Beach 116 St, so you can still reach the beach with ease! 🏖️
If you're traveling on Tuesday, July 4, note that subways and buses will run on a Saturday schedule, and railroads will operate on a Sunday schedule in observance of Independence Day. Learn more. 🇺🇸
