Did you have a grand week? We sure did. Grand Central Madison is now open, bringing Long Island Rail Road trains to the east side of Manhattan for the first time ever.
Special Grand Central Direct shuttle service is running between Jamaica and Grand Central on weekdays from 6:15 a.m. to 8:15 p.m., and on weekends from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. Take a look at the schedule for this shuttle service, and come check out the new terminal.
Whether you're heading to Grand Central or somewhere else this weekend, you'll want to know about service changes. Here's what's going on:
- trains aren't running between 34 St-Penn Station and New Lots Av
- trains aren't running between Norwood-205 St and 161 St-Yankee Stadium
- trains aren't running between Kings Hwy and Coney Island-Stillwell Av
- trains aren't running between Court Sq and Nassau Av

Major subway service changes
trains, Manhattan and Brooklyn
Trains are not running between 34 St-Penn Station and New Lots Av in either direction from 9:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday because of structural maintenance.
- For service to/from stations between 34 St-Penn Station and Franklin Av-Medgar Evers College, take the .
- For service to/from stations between Franklin Av-Medgar Evers College and New Lots Av, take the , which is extended to New Lots Av all weekend.
- trains are running between Harlem-148 St and 34 St-Penn Station all weekend, including overnight.

From 11:30 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday, trains are not running between 161 St-Yankee Stadium and Norwood-205 St in either direction, and uptown trains are not stopping at 155 St. This is because of structural maintenance work.

- For service to/from 155 St, take a downtown train.
- For service between 161 St-Yankee Stadium and Bedford Park Blvd, take the .
- Norwood-205 St is connected by a free shuttle bus to Mosholu Pkwy . Transfer between the and the at 161 St-Yankee Stadium.

Trains are not running between Kings Hwy and Coney Island-Stillwell Av in either direction from 5:45 a.m. Saturday to 10 p.m. Sunday because of track replacement.
- Free shuttle buses are running between Kings Hwy and Coney Island-Stillwell Av. Look for signs outside your station for walking directions to the shuttle bus stop.
- trains are running between Jamaica-179 St and Kings Hwy.
- For direct service to/from Coney Island-Stillwell Av, take trains.
- For direct service to/from W 8 St-NY Aquarium, take the train.

From 9:30 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday, trains are not running between Myrtle Av and Broad St in either direction, and trains are not running at all. This is because of track maintenance.
- For service between Manhattan and Brooklyn/Queens, transfer to an or train at Broadway Junction. Or, take an train from Myrtle-Wyckoff Avs. From other stops on the line, you can take a free shuttle bus to the at Myrtle-Wyckoff Avs.
- Free shuttle buses are running between Delancey St-Essex St and Middle Village-Metropolitan Av. Look for signs outside your station for walking directions to the shuttle bus stop.
- trains are running between Myrtle Av and Jamaica Center-Parsons/Archer.
- For service to/from stations between Delancey St-Essex St and Broad St, use nearby stations.

Uptown trains are running on the express track from Grand Central-42 St to 125 St from 9:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday because of electrical work.
- For service to/from bypassed stations, take a downtown train.
- Note: During overnight hours, when trains normally run local, they'll also run express.
Manhattan-bound trains are running on the express track from Pelham Bay Park to Parkchester from 9:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday because of station improvement work.

Flushing-bound trains are running on the express track from Queensboro Plaza to 74 St-Broadway from 3:45 a.m. Saturday to 10 p.m. Sunday because of track replacement work.
- For service to/from bypassed stations, take a Hudson Yards-bound train.

From 9:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday, uptown trains are running on the express track from Canal St to 59 St-Columbus Circle, and Queens-bound trains are running on the express track from Canal St to 42 St-Port Authority Bus Terminal. This is because of structural maintenance.
- For service to/from Spring St and 23 St, take a downtown train.
- For service to 50 St, take the .
- For service from 50 St, take a downtown train, or take the to 7 Av/53 St and then the to 59 St-Columbus Circle.
Queens-bound and Euclid Av-bound trains are running on the express track from Utica Av to Broadway Junction from 9:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday because of track maintenance.

Long Island Rail Road service changes
Port Washington Branch
Trains are not running between Great Neck and Port Washington in both directions from 12:01 a.m. Saturday to 1 a.m. Sunday because of track maintenance.
- Buses are running every hour between Great Neck and Port Washington, making all stops except Plandome, due to low bridges in the area.
- As an alternative to Plandome, use the nearby Manhasset bus stop.
- Trains are running between Penn Station and Great Neck on a regular weekend schedule.
- The last trains to run on Friday night are the 11:11 p.m. from Penn Station and the 11:38 p.m. from Port Washington.
- Service resumes on Sunday morning with the 12:17 a.m. from Penn Station and the 2:10 a.m. from Port Washington.
