Happy July! If you're venturing outdoors to see the annual Macy's 4th of July fireworks on Monday, public transit is the way to go.
Please note: On Monday, July 4, subways and buses will run on a Saturday schedule, while Long Island Rail Road and Metro-North will operate on a Sunday schedule.
Another important thing to note: Starting Friday, July 1 and lasting into the fall, trains are not running between 121 St and Jamaica Center in either direction while we replace aging tracks and concrete. Free shuttle buses and trains will provide alternate service.
No matter what you have planned for the weekend, we're here to help you get around. For more details on how service will be affected across all modes of transit, check out our Planned Work tool and search for your subway, bus, or rail line.
These service changes are subject to change, so check the MTA homepage before heading out; it's where you'll find up-to-the-minute information on subway, bus, and rail service.
