Lisa Schreibman

Acting Senior Vice President, New York City Transit Department of Subways

Lisa Schreibman is the Acting Senior Vice President at NYCT Department of Subways, overseeing the NYC subway system that moves over 3 million daily riders.

She has more than 28 years of experience in the transportation industry, with the last 22 years at the MTA. Most recently, Lisa was the Vice President and Chief Officer of Capital Strategy and Management at NYCT Department of Subways. She led the group liaising between MTA Construction & Development and the Subways operating and maintenance groups, crafting the five-year capital planning process and budgeting capital needs for subways.

Lisa has held many roles during her time at the MTA, including working in Operations Planning and on OMNY; securing a critical NYC zoning code change to more easily incorporate accessibility into subway stations; and overseeing benchmarking, station design, and Title VI analysis groups. Lisa began her MTA career as the liaison for the  Line Extension project.

Outside the MTA, Lisa served as an adjunct professor at Hunter College for 17 years and was on the board of WTS – Greater New York Chapter. She has also been a mentor with both WTS and the American Planning Association.

Lisa holds a Master’s degree in Urban Planning from Hunter College and a Bachelor’s degree from New York University, and has been AICP certified for more than 20 years. Lisa has been a regular subway commuter since high school and is immensely honored to serve as the Acting Senior Vice President of NYCT Subways.
