The proposed Q24 Local runs between Broadway Junction and Jamaica.
The current length of the Q24 route is 8.4 miles. The proposed length of the Q24 Local route is 6.5 miles.
In the existing route, the average stop spacing is 689 feet. Under the proposed route, that would increase to 1,129 feet.
In the existing route, there are 1.0 turns per mile. Under the proposed route, that would increase to 1.3 turns per mile.
The route would include connections to the B53, B60, B66, B76, B83, Q1, Q7, Q8, Q9, Q10, Q21, Q31, Q37, Q43, Q44-SBS, Q45, Q54, Q55, Q56, Q57, Q60, Q65, Q75, Q114, trains, and the Long Island Rail Road at Jamaica and East New York.

Review the Q24 route summary
As part of both the Brooklyn and Queens Bus Network Redesigns, the proposed Q24 would be shortened on its western end to Broadway Junction and realigned in Jamaica (Queens) to improve route reliability.
Service on the discontinued portion of Broadway would be provided by the proposed B53. In Jamaica, the route would no longer serve Jamaica Hospital and would terminate on 89 Av/Parsons Blvd instead of Archer Av/Merrick Blvd. Service to Jamaica Hospital would be provided by the proposed Q42.
As a Local route, stops would be spaced slightly farther apart than existing to speed up buses and improve reliability.
No frequency or service span changes are being proposed at this time.
