About the route
The B45 runs between Downtown Brooklyn and Bedford-Stuyvesant.
The current length of the B45 Local route is 4.6 miles. This would increase to 5.1 miles under the Draft Plan.
In the existing route, the average stop spacing is 784 feet. Under the proposed route, that would increase to 1,042 feet. There would be 1.9 turns per mile.
The route would include connections to the B7, B10, B12, B14, B15, B17, B25, B26, B27, B37, B38, B41, B41 XT, B43, B44, B44 SBS, B46, B47, B48, B49, B52, B54, B57, B61, B62, B63, B65, B67, B69, and trains.

Review the B45 route summary
The proposed B45 would mostly maintain its existing routing. The route would be extended to the Ralph Av station via St Johns Pl and Ralph Av on its eastern end, providing better transit connections to points east in Brooklyn and Queens. Service on Buffalo Av would be discontinued. Westbound, the B45 would be rerouted via Sterling Pl between New York Av and Rogers Av to avoid a narrow two-way section of St Johns Pl. In Downtown Brooklyn, the proposed B45 would turn around in the opposite direction via Livingston St, Court St, and Joralemon St in order to reduce delays, pending further study by NYCDOT.
As a Local route, stops would be spaced slightly farther apart than existing to speed up buses and improve reliability.
