The proposed B17 Local runs between Canarsie and Crown Heights.
The current length of the B17 route is 4.6 miles. This would not change under the Draft Plan.
In the existing route, the average stop spacing is 724 feet. Under the proposed route, that would increase to 881 feet.
In the existing route and the proposed route, there are 0.8 turns per mile.
The route would include connections to the B5, B6-LTD, B7, B8, B10, B12, B14, B35, B42, B45, B46-SBS, B47, B55, B76, B82-SBS, B103, and the trains.

Review the B17 route summary
The proposed B17 would maintain the same routing as its main branch between Seaview Av/E 108 St and Crown Heights.
Service on the part-time branch from E 80 St/Paerdegat 15 St and connecting directly to the Canarsie-Rockaway Pkwy station will be discontinued. The proposed new B76 would connect E 80 St/Paerdegat 15 St and the Canarsie-Rockaway Pkwy station in the peak hours, traveling via Avenue L and Rockaway Pkwy, and continuing via Rockaway Av to Broadway Junction.
As a Local route, stops would be spaced slightly farther apart than existing to speed up buses and improve reliability. Weekday AM Peak frequencies would be slightly increased. At other times, overall frequencies on both existing branches combined will be maintained on the proposed routing, leading to an slight increase in frequency on Seaview Av during the peaks. No service span changes are being proposed at this time.
