Nov. 10 Event Is First ‘Connect With Us’ Outreach Session Since the Pandemic Began

MTA Metro-North Railroad is bringing back its “Connect With Us” customer outreach program for the first time since the start of the pandemic with a forum at Grand Central Terminal on the morning of Wednesday, Nov. 10. The railroad initiated the program in 2014, hosting these forums at various locations across its service territory to provide an opportunity for senior Metro-North leaders to hear directly from customers and to foster an open dialogue with customers about service and progress on major issues. Metro-North suspended the “Connect With Us” program temporarily as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Daily or occasional commuters, leisure travelers, community members and stakeholders are encouraged to attend and engage in constructive dialogue with Metro-North leadership, who will be available to listen to customer concerns and answer questions. The Nov. 10 forum will be held from 7:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. across from Zaro’s on the west side of Grand Central.

“We are thrilled that so many of our customers have returned to Metro-North over the past several months,” said Metro-North President Catherine Rinaldi. “Our ‘Connect With Us’ outreach events provide the perfect opportunity for our customers to let us know what matters to them, and for Metro-North leadership to let our customers know what we’re doing to improve safety, service reliability, and customer communications.”

The “Connect With Us” program complements Metro-North’s ongoing “Station Talk” program, which brings district managers in Metro-North’s Stations Department to outlying Metro-North stations to hear customer concerns and answer questions about their home station.

Customers who participate in the GCT “Connect With Us” events should remember to wear a mask.

Dates and locations of future Metro-North “Connect With Us” forums will be available at Metro-North’s homepage
