Route
The Bx17 routing will not change. The current route serves neighborhoods without subway service and provides connections to several important subway transfer points.
Key connecting routes include: Bx9, Bx11, Bx12 Select Bus Service, Bx19, and Bx36.
Stops
Eleven percent (8 of 75) of the Bx17 stops will be removed, improving the average distance between stops from 780 feet to 875 feet. By removing these stops, we’ll improve reliability along the route.
