Here's everything you need to know about special service to MetLife Stadium:
COVID-19 Policies
As permitted by current New Jersey policies, MetLife Stadium has returned to 100% capacity for all events with no physical distancing requirements. MetLife Stadium is committed to providing everyone who enters a safe, clean environment with reduced touch points.
Face masks are not required for entry. However, in accordance with CDC recommendations, guests who are not fully vaccinated should continue to wear masks in indoor public spaces such as restrooms, clubs, suites, and elevators. Guests are not required to show a negative COVID-19 test or proof of vaccination to enter the Stadium.
Masks are required on board all Metro-North and NJ Transit trains. Please refer to the Metro-North Railroad and NJ Transit sites for more details.
How to Get to MetLife Stadium
- Take a regularly scheduled Metro-North train to Grand Central Terminal.
- At Grand Central Terminal, take the subway (purchase a MetroCard separately), or walk about 20 minutes to Penn Station, located at 7th Avenue and West 34th Street. The most direct subway route is the 42nd Street to Times Square, then the downtown one stop to 34 St. Penn Station.
- At Penn Station, proceed to NJ TRANSIT's upper- or lower-level concourses to hop aboard a NJ TRANSIT train to Secaucus Junction (SEC), about a 12-minute ride. Check NJ TRANSIT monitors for track assignments for trains to "SEC" or listen for announcements.
- At Secaucus Junction, show your rail ticket at the gate and then follow the signs to the lower level for the short train shuttle ride to the Stadium. Train shuttle service will run frequently starting approximately three hours before each game and up to two hours after the game. Service from Secaucus to the Meadowlands varies for other events such as concerts.
Please verify your itinerary at njtransit.com/meadowlands for schedules to Meadowlands from New York Penn Station or Secaucus Junction.
Buying Train Tickets
From any Metro-North Railroad station to the Meadowlands:
Metro-North customers can purchase tickets to the "Meadowlands" Station, which are valid for travel on both Metro-North and NJ TRANSIT for all Giants and Jets home games and select events.
Visit mta.info/mnr or njtransit.com/meadowlands for full Meadowlands service listings.
At a ticket machine or ticket office:
Purchase a round-trip joint ticket to the "Meadowlands" Station for off-peak travel. Price is standard Metro-North fare plus $11.00 for the round-trip NJ TRANSIT portion of travel. NJ TRANSIT does not sell the joint ticket, therefore we recommend round-trip purchases.
Metro-North tickets are valid for 60 days. Be sure to allow time to purchase tickets before boarding. Tickets are refundable up to 60 days from date of sale and are subject to a $10 processing fee per transaction.
