Subway service changes due to 36 St incident

Subway and bus service continues to be impacted by a NYPD investigation into an earlier incident at 36 St in Brooklyn.

There is no ‌ service in parts of Brooklyn and Manhattan. and service is also suspended. Expect major delays on trains.

We are working to restore full service, but it will take time to get trains back on schedule once the investigation is complete. See below for a guide to service alternatives.

Travel alternatives

Brooklyn alternatives:

Shuttle buses are running between ‌Atlantic Av-Barclays Ctr‌ and ‌Bay Ridge-95 St‌. Consider taking B1, B9, B11, B35, B37, B63, or B103 buses to alternate subway lines.

For service between Brooklyn and Manhattan, consider  trains. 

Manhattan alternatives:

Take ‌ trains.

Queens alternatives:

For service along the  ‌line, take the  trains.

For service along the  line, transfer to  trains. Consider taking Q102 buses between ‌30 Av‌ and ‌Queensboro Plaza‌.

You can also take these buses:

  • ‌Astoria-Ditmars Blvd‌: Take Q69 buses to ‌ at ‌21 St-Queensbridge‌ or ‌ at ‌Court Sq-23 St‌.
  • ‌Astoria Blvd‌: Take Q102 buses to/from subways lines on 125 St in Manhattan.
  • ‌30 Av‌: Take Q18 buses to ‌ at ‌Northern Blvd‌ or ‌  trains at ‌61 St-Woodside‌.
  • ‌Broadway‌: Take Q104 buses to ‌ trains at ‌Steinway St‌ or  ‌ trains at ‌46 St-Bliss St‌.

Other alternatives: 

You can also use NYC Ferry or Citi Bike to get around during this time.
