The MTA is hosting a bus operator job fair on Saturday, April 27, 2024 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 130 Livingston St, Brooklyn, NY.
Applications are being accepted for positions with MTA Bus Company and MaBSTOA.
For same-day processing, please bring the following documents:
- Your resume
- Your Social Security card
- Your driver's license and proof of commercial driver's license or permit:
- A New York State driver's license valid for at least three years and commercial driver's license or permit (class A or B with passenger endorsement and no restrictions), or
- A Connecticut, New Jersey, or Pennsylvania driver's license valid for at least three years and commercial driver's license (class A or B with passenger endorsement and no restrictions)
You will not be considered for a bus operator position if your driving record has or has ever had:
- Six or more driver violation points in the last three years, regardless of defensive driving point reduction, or
- Three or more accidents within the 12 months preceding the date of appointment
Please resolve any outstanding traffic violations before applying. Pending traffic violations will be considered during the application process.
Those who are not processed on the same day will be given a future appointment.
You must pass a drug screening to be appointed as a bus operator, and if appointed, you will be subject to random drug and alcohol tests for the duration of your employment. Be advised that the federal DOT drug panel includes marijuana, and you will be tested for marijuana use.
