Yily Nelson

Digital painting of man playing acoustic guitar with words “Yily Nelson y su trio, ticket online, $10 Advance, $15 @ the door.”

A multifaceted musician and vocalist, Yily Nelson, "the romantic singer of yesteryears," captures audiences with tunes “drenched in the mellifluous dews of former times in Latin America.” He has an impressive repertoire of nostalgic songs in both Spanish and Portuguese. A living encyclopedia of Spanish music, Nelson performs chivalric serenatas, baladas, and boleros "redolent of the wonderlands of Spain, Brazil, and Latin America." A largely self-taught musician, he received training on classical guitar in his native Dominican Republic. Since then, he has transformed himself into an accomplished flamenco guitarist, a flamboyant pianist of light-music, a performer of French “easy listening,” and, most recently, a promising violinist in the Gypsy genre.
