Robert Lind majored in music at Amherst College, where he accompanied the Glee Club, and then he pursued degrees in composition at U.C Berkeley and Brandeis University.  After hearing Sweeney Todd, he developed a taste for musical theater and performed as pianist and/or musical director at summer stock companies, community theaters and opera workshops in Massachusetts, Maine, and New York City. After working a few decades at nonmusical jobs, Robert returned to composition, and as a member of the Music Under New York program, he performs a range of music from Bach, Beethoven, Brahms to ragtime.
