A Haitian-American and native New Yorker, Martina Bruno began singing when she was four years old. She graduated from the State University of New York, Purchase College, and studied in Italy at the Conservatorio Di Mantova. Upon her return, she appeared in such New York City “underground” clubs as the Remote Lounge, Bobbaloo's, Five Spot Café, and the Cheetah Club, performing a unique synthesis of classical music and hip hop. She has also performed at Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, the Apollo Theatre, Teatro Bibiena, and the Soho Playhouse, both as a soloist and with ensembles. Known as the "Angel of New York," Bruno seeks to push the limits of classical song, with the goal of “touching every walk of life, unifying the world with one song.”
