Marian Pidvirny

Born in Lviv, Ukraine, Marian Pidvirny began learning violin from his grandfather at age six. He attended a music school shortly thereafter and continued his education at a college specializing in music. From 1984 to 1988, he attended the Music Academy of Lviv as a student of the violinist Matis Vaytsner. In 1992, he toured America with an orchestra and stayed on afterward, continuing to work as a violinist. Pidvirny joined Music Under New York (MTA MUSIC) in 1996 and performs in the program to this day. He also performs professionally at weddings and other private functions, where has met such notables as Henry Kissinger, Rudolph Giuliani, George Pataki, Oscar de la Renta, and many others.
