Self-taught Swiss saxophonist Edith Yahney, known as Keeshea, first began playing in the London Underground. She was subsequently hired to perform by Maserati, Porsche, Novartis, and several banks and upscale hotels. Curiosity and a love for the arts eventually brought her to New York City, where she became a member of the MTA MUSIC program. About playing in the New York subways, she says, "The music always feels the most real, playing in the subway. This is the soul of the city. It’s an exchange of emotions between the musician and the commuters that is just so unique and so beautiful, I would not want to miss it for the world."
