Eclectic powerhouse Joya Bravo combines her Jamaican roots, Atlanta upbringing, and native New York sensibility in a unique performing style. This vocalist, rapper, actress, and classically trained violinist has performed in major cities across the United States, as well as in Brazil, Germany, the United Kingdom, and Japan. She has appeared on "The Untitled Action Bronson Show" and "Bad Girls Club," and starred in her own McDonald's commercial. She performs reggae and Afrobeat hits regularly at the Tuck Room in lower Manhattan. Bravo also works with YAI/HAI (New York’s Healing Arts Initiative) to bring her art to hospitals, senior centers, and inner-city schools.
