Award-winning blues-rock guitarist Jake Kulak has toured the globe, from Norway to Boston to Sydney to the Mississippi Delta. His power trio, Jake Kulak and the LowDown, was nominated for Best New Act of the Year at the New England Music Awards; was the grand prize winner of the 2019 Foxwoods Resort Casino Battle of the Bands; and a previous winner of the Connecticut Blues Society Band Challenge. Kulak was also a semi-finalist in the International Songwriting Competition, called "the competition to take note of" by The New York Times. The band’s debut album was recognized in The Hartford Courant in 2018 as Best Album by CT Musicians. Kulak’s fellow band members are bassist Jason LaPierre and drummer Jeremy Peck, both of whom are multi-instrumentalists and composers.
