Haeda B. Mihaltses is the Director of Government & External Relations for Sterling Project Development, a nationally recognized real estate development management and advisory firm involved in over $24 billion worth of construction. Mihaltses works with government officials and community groups and leaders on behalf of clients to pave the way for development that benefits everyone.

Mihaltses joined Sterling Project Development following six years as Vice President of External Affairs for the New York Mets, serving as the organization's main liaison with city, state, and federal officials and overseeing relations with community stakeholders.
Mihaltses worked in former New York City Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg’s administration for three terms (2002-2013) and was part of his senior staff, as the Director of Intergovernmental Affairs where she coordinated all the legislation, land use items, and city budget actions. She was appointed by Mayor Bloomberg to oversee the City’s Hurricane Sandy relief effort on Staten Island in October 2012.

Prior to joining the Mayor’s Office, Mihaltses spent 15 years (1986-2001) at the New York City Council’s Finance Division in a variety of roles, ultimately serving as the City Council's first female Finance Director, under Speaker Peter F. Vallone's leadership, where she led negotiations for adopting the City's budget.

She serves on the Queens Borough Public Library Board and is the Board Chairperson at St. Michael’s Home for the Elderly in Yonkers, and is a member of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocesan Council. Mihaltses is a recent recipient of the Citizens Union Foundation's prestigious Public Service award. She also was acknowledged by City and State magazine as one of the “Queens Power 50” and “Responsible 100,” receiving the Corporate Social Responsibility Award.

A Bronx native and current Queens resident, Mihaltses holds a M.A. in Public Administration as well as a B.A. in Economics from Fordham University. Mihaltses lives with her husband, George, in Bayside, Queens.
