NY International Auto Show
Ushering in the latest automotive trends, the 2018 New York International Auto Show will showcase an incredible collection of cutting-edge design and extraordinary innovation. More than four floors of displays from the world’s automakers will feature the newest vehicles and latest futuristic concept cars.  Nearly 1,000 cars and trucks will be on display at North America’s first and largest-attended auto show dating back to 1900.

High Line Park
The High Line is a public park built on a historic freight rail line elevated above the streets on Manhattan’s West Side. It runs from Gansevoort Street in the Meatpacking District to West 34th Street, between 10th and 12th Avenues.

NYC St Patrick's Day Parade 
The New York City St. Patrick’s Parade is the oldest and largest St. Patrick’s Day Parade in the world. The first parade was held on March 17, 1762 — fourteen years before the signing of the Declaration of Independence.
The parade is held annually on March 17th* at precisely 11:00 AM in honor of St. Patrick, the Patron Saint of Ireland and of the Archdiocese of New York. The parade route goes up Fifth Avenue beginning at East 44th Street and ending at East 79th Street. Approximately 150,000 people march in the parade which draws about 2 million spectators.

MTA LIRR advises that alcoholic beverages will be prohibited on all trains, platforms and stations.

Long Island Winterfest - Live on the Vine 
LI Winterfest , is a four week, mid winter music, wine and art festival, taking place throughout Long Islands scenic north & south forks. The LIWC will present “The Art of Wine at Winterfest, Live on the Vine”.  An exciting and hands-on series of wine-focused events that gives visitors exclusive access to rare wines, Long Island’s incredible winemakers and progressive winemaking techniques.

Montauk Music Festival
The Montauk Music Festival (MMF) is a volunteer-run, grassroots live music event designed to celebrate, support, and promote the thriving Montauk music scene. MMF is a  four day musical celebration featuring talented up-and-coming independent artists, set against the back-drop of one of the most idyllic beach communities on the east coast – Montauk, NY. Except for the Opening Party on Thursday night at Gurney’s Montauk, it is a FREE event. Over 100 artists boasting a wide variety of musical styles (from alternative, rock, folk, pop, Americana, reggae, blues, jazz, bluegrass, to flamenco, rap, hip-hop, country, metal, and more), will be performing for free in the spirit of sharing original music -through showcases -with audiences and fellow musicians.
So make plans, grab your blanket and beach chairs, bring your family and friends, and escape to Montauk for the weekend of May 18-21. Enjoy a music filled opening party Thursday night at Gurney’s Inn, followed by three additional days of talented Artists. Tanger Outlet  Shopping - Deer Park
Start your holiday shopping at Tanger Outlet-The Arches at Deer Park. They offer more than 70 stores, a movie theater, and ice skating in the winter. Set in a Tuscan Village style, The Arches is conveniently located a short distance from the Deer Park LIRR Train Station. Purchase the Tanger Deer Park package at open ticket offices and ticket machines (gray or blue). The package includes rail fare to Deer Park station, where you can board the Tanger Outlet Shuttle for a short ride to the center. Turn in the voucher stub at the Tanger Outlets Shoppers Services.

Port Jefferson

Train to the Game: the LIRR is the best way to see your teams and players in action.
Ways to Save on Train Travel:

  • Small groups of adults can save with LIRR Off-Peak Ten Trip tickets which offer 15% off fares and can be shared. These tickets are good for six months and are available at "Ticket" machines and offices.
  • Groups of 30 or more can save with LIRR Group Rates, however smaller groups (15 or more) may also save by paying this rate for 30 people. Call 511, say LIRR, then "Group Travel" to make a reservation.
  • Family Travel Tip: The LIRR Family Fare allows up to four children, ages 5-11, to travel for $1.00 each way on off-peak trains when accompanied by an adult; children under 5 ride free (family fare ticket CAN be used for afternoon peak train; NOT morning peak)
